Center Library Events & Specials
- Children’s Book Week, May 12 thru 18 – Kids, stop by the Center Library all week long for chances to win prizes! Guess how may pieces of candy are in the jar. Enter our prize drawing when you check out a book! Starting May 1, Pick up a story starter from the library and use your imagination to complete the story. Stories must be completed and brought to the Center Library no later than May 18. Stories will be judged on creativity in the following age groups: 3-5, 6-8 and 9-11. Winners will be chosen on May 20.
- Summer Reading Program, June 3 – 28 – “Have Book – Will Travel.” This FREE program is open to children completing grades K-8. Registration begins May 20 at Center Library. Join our Summer Reading Program and win prizes for reading your favorite books! Prizes will be awarded to the “Top Reader” for K – 4th grades and 5 – 8th grades at the end of the program.
The Center Library is your resource for knowledge, communication and entertainment. Library accounts are available to all military and government civilian ID card holders.
The library has 22 high-speed public access internet computers, high speed WiFi for laptops, copying service, individual study areas, and a digital scanner. We offer free FAX service to all toll free and DSN numbers as well as incoming FAX service at a nominal fee. Our Special Activities Room is available for groups of up to 50 people by reservation.
The Center Library offers free monthly and seasonal programming for our community’s children as well as special activities, story time, and guest speaker events.
The Center Library is also proud to offer its patrons free reference assistance for all personal and academic research requirements, and access to online databases through our catalog. Inter-library loan services are offered on a case-by-case basis.
Whatever your information and entertainment needs, please allow the excellent staff of the Center Library the privilege of serving you often. As with all Family & MWR programming, Center Library is EFM friendly!
Story Time
Join us every Friday from 10:15 – 11 a.m. for Story Time. This FREE program introduces the joy of reading to children ages 2 – 5 years old, and enhances parent-child interaction. A typical Story Time includes a story read by our friendly staff and coloring or craft time. (Story Time does not take place on holidays or DONSA’s)
Teen Book Club
Are you a teen that loves reading? Join us every other Thursday at the Center Library for our Teen Book Club from 4 – 5 p.m. A new title is featured every month, and teens meet to talk and share their thoughts on the book. Light refreshments will be served.
