School Age Services (SAS) childcare is provided before and/or after school for children grades 1st – 5th. Full-day care is provided during school vacation periods. The SAS program is certified by the Department of Defense and accredited by the National Afterschool Association (NAA). The framework for our SAS curriculum is based on the following four service areas: Sports, Fitness, and Health; Life Skills, Citizenship, and Leadership; Arts, Recreation, and Leisure; and Mentoring, Education, and Support Services. Occasional users may use the program twice a week with no more than 8 times a month. Open Recreation is available for CYSS members grades 1st – 5th on Saturdays from 1 – 6 p.m.
To enroll your child into School-age services you must be registered with CYSS.
September 5, Back to School Skate Party: The Fort Rucker School Age Center is having a Back to School Skate Party on September 5, from 6:15-7:15 pm and 7:30-9:30pm at The School Age Center. The cost will be $2 for 6:15-7:15pm and $5 for 7:30-9:30pm. Children will be allowed to bring a guest and enjoy prizes and refreshments. Active Duty, DoD Civilian workers, Contractors can register their children at CYSS Parent Central Services. For more information contact The School Age Center at (334) 255-9108.
September 19, Show Your School Spirit Skate Night: CYSS Members, join the Fort Rucker School Age Center on September 19 from 6:15-7:15 pm and 7:30-9:30pm, for “ Show Your School Spirit Skate Night!” Wear a jersey, school colors, favorite team shirts or hat. Register your children at CYSS or call (334) 255-9638. For more information on the event, contact the School Age Center at (334) 255-9108.
What will SAS provide my children?
- Transportation to and from Enterprise Elementary School and some Ozark City Schools on a space available basis. (Please contact the School Liaison Officer at 334-255-9812 for sign-up.)
- Programmed activities after school
- Homework Center & Computer Lab access
- USDA approved snacks & meals
- 4-H Clubs on Thursday afternoons during the school year
