The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program provides youth ages 15-18 with meaningful, professionally managed career exploration opportunities in Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) operations.

The HIRED! Apprenticeship Program offers valuable paid work experience and training to better equip each participant with the skills needed for a highly competitive job market.

Eligibility

HIRED apprentice candidates must be eligible for CYS Services programs. They must also be U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, or lawful permanent resident aliens of the United States and provide proof of successful completion of:

  • Three workforce preparation training sessions
  • Two post secondary education exploration training sessions
  • One financial management workshop
  • School documentation showing a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher
