The twenty-four bay facility has twelve lifts, eleven flat bays (non-lift) - six located inside the main building and five sheltered bays outside of the main building, a body work bay, and a paint booth. The self-help car wash, located at the center, has three wash bays and three vacuum cleaners. Facilities are easily accessible to Soldiers and their families with operational hours structured to meet their needs.

Holiday Inspection Program:  With vehicle safety being a primary concern for the military, the Auto Craft Center provides free vehicle inspections prior to Memorial Day, July 4th,  Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Individuals may bring their vehicles by the facility for an inspection on the posted dates or Units may request vehicle inspections to be done at their location by calling the manager.

Tire maintenance
Tune-ups
Transmission filter service
Front brakes
Rear brakes
Emission controls
Change a flat tire

Oil Change Classes
Wednesdays,
1-3pm
Students need Oil Filter
and 5 quarts of oil

 


Additional classes may be arranged if requested for groups or individuals to fit special needs.

In addition to the scheduled classes the Auto Craft Center provides daily instruction in those areas covered by the classes, as well as in accessories and electrical troubleshooting, air conditioning and heating systems, steering and suspension systems, engine mechanical, and engine performance.

The Auto Craft Center provides "how to" information via the Mitchell Information System. This software also includes vehicle specific wiring diagrams, maintenance information, technical service bulletins, and recalls.

 


Free Vehicle Inspection:
During Free Vehicle Inspections,
the Auto Craft Center checks for:

 proper operation of night lights,
all warning lights,
turn signals,horn,
proper fluid levels, and
tires for proper inflation pressure.

 Should there be any negative findings, the Auto Craft Center personnel will be available to instruct patrons in the necessary repairs.
